Post Op Pictures

Caden is doing great, we came home on Saturday Night and he slept from 10:30 until 9:00 the next morning. He must have been sleeping off all the drug medicine. He took his normal feedings Sunday and for his last bottle he actually took 10 ounces ( he normally takes 8). We put him to bed at 10:00 and he was up at 4:00 this morning. We thought he was in pain so Jason gave him some Tylenol with Codeine. When he woke back up at 6:00 we knew he was just hungry and probably wasn't in pain before. Jason gave him 2 and then 2 more ounces and then I gave him 2 more. He went back to sleep and woke up at 9:30 and ate another 8 ounces. He has gone back to his normal feeding and we are only 4 days post op. In a few weeks I will start him on solid foods, I think he will really enjoy this. We have hardly had to give him any pain medicine and are thankful for that too. Today I have just given him Tylenol when he was a little overly fussy but then 45 minutes later he made his first poopy diaper in a little under a week.
And now for his pictures:

Caden 30 minutes Post Op

This is how I spent most of the time we were there and this is me after being awake for 24 hours. I had a hospital bed and he laid on me. We had a pretty view of the bay, San Francisco and both bridges. Jason stayed the night with us the second night. I could have used him the first night but he stayed until after 11:00 and had to be at work at 7:00.

Visitors- I don't have the pictures from Ed yet but Ed, Jodi and Hannah came to visit on Friday. Uncle Ed brought Evan back on Saturday and then our friends from church The Schwinn's came on Saturday.

We can't forget a picture of Caden and his friend Teddy. This was sent by Caden's Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents!

Evan& Hannah enjoyed playing with Teddy the night before he came to the hospital

AND NOW 4 days post op

He has a nasal stint in and is still somewhat bloody. We are not sure how much of the swelling will go down or if he is going to need another lip surgery. She said possible when she does his palate in the summer she will do more to his lip.
